Singing bowls (also known as 'Himalayan bowls' or ring gongs) are type of musical instrument classified as a standing bell. Rather than hanging inverted or attached to a handle, standing bells sit with the bottom surface resting. The sides and rim of the bell vibrate to produce sound.
Singing bowls were traditionally used throughout Asia as part of Bon, Buddhist, nagapa tradition. Morden days Singing Bowls used worldwide for various purpose as meditaion, Yoga, healing device and religious practice. Also belived that the sound of singing bowl regarded as auspicious and drive away evil spirits.

According to tradition singing bowls were made of seven different metals, one metal for each of the planets, i.e. Gold (the sun), silver (the Moon), Copper (Venus), Mercury (mercury), Iron (Mars), Tin (Jupiter) and Lead (Saturn). Antiques bowls often made with more percentage of silver, gold, zinc, iron and nickel. Antique singing bowls were sometimes made of more then 9 metals that’s why it’s produce multiphonic and poly harmonic overtones which are unique to the antique instruments. The subtle yet complex multiple harmonic frequencies are a special quality of the high quality polymetallic alloy.

The art of making singing bowls in the traditional manner is considered a lost art. Shamanic meditation practice today singing bowls are used worldwide for meditation, relaxation, healthcare and mystical and religious practice. Singing bowls were historically made in Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan and some other region.
'Antique' or 'vintage' Singing Bowls are hard to find. New bowls may be plain or decorated with the auspicious symbol, Om Mani Padme Hum, Buddha Image or More…

Can someone explain what the writer meant in his continue paragraph? He makes an excellent start but lost me halfway throughout the article. I had a difficult time following what the author is wanting to say. The beginning was great but I feel he needs to focus on writing a better finish.
