For thousands of years, Tibetans have viewed Dzi bead as a living gemstone. It is a sacred item and meant for worship and is reverently kept and passed down over generations. The ancient Dzi absorbs cosmic energy from the universe, hence it can guard against misfortune and brings blessings, stabilizes blood pressure, increases the internal 'qi', gives good fortune and bliss. Till now, Dzi enjoys great popularity around the world, and it is a revered sacred charm for protection, worship, health, as well as a symbol of wealth. If you plan to Collect or Worship here are some tips.

Tips to Note for Collector and for Worship
Wearing Dzi Beads can transform ones intelligence to wisdom, elevate ones spirit and inner consciousness. It can also increase ones compassionate heart and bodhicitta. Hence, followers treat Dzi as a sacred item for protection, worship health, as well as a symbol of wealth. When wearing the Dzi, one should take note of the following because sincere worshipping of the Dzi Beads will reward one with good fortune and wisdom :
A:- The Dzi should always be worn on the body, because when it is in contact with our body, the Dzi Bead can sense and blend in with our natural energy field. There is a post about Benefits for the Wearer

B:- If there are many Dzi Beads, they should be placed on the altar for worship and viewing. Constant contact with the Beads can maintain its smoothness and lustre.
C:- When stringing the Dzi Beads together, it is best to put softer beads in between the Dzi Beads to prevent abrasion that might cause cracks.
D:- The Dzi Beads should preferably be placed on the altar when bathing to prevent frequent contact with water as the string might break easily.
E:- When changing and washing clothes, take precaution as the Dzi Beads might break once dropped on the floor.
F:- In the event of committing acts that might be disrespectful to the Dzi, do take off the Dzi Bead temporarily.
G:- When attending any religious ceremony, do remember to request the Rinpoche master or Monks to bless the Dzi Bead.
H:- If accidents happened which caused the Dzi Bead to break, do replace it with another suitable piece. or read below post
